VIDEO: Louth area roads cracking up

DRY weather is causing the county’s roads to crack up.

Soil is shrinking under the roads from a lack of moisture, making road surfaces uneven and causing cracks to appear.

Lincolnshire County Council is asking for £6.5 million from the Department of Transport to pay for the repairs.

Local roads affected include Furze Lane in Legbourne, Louth Road in Saltfleet and Thacker Bank in Great Carlton.
