VIDEO: Louth Lawn Tennis Club raise funds for Air Ambulance

Louth Lawn Tennis Club has raised £142.14 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, after hosting a charity quiz.

Club secretary Austen Hempstead and committee member Roger White presented the cheque to Faye Nam on Friday, after holding the quiz at the Wheatsheaf in October.

Mr Hempstead gave his thanks to a number of local businesses who donated prizes, including Eve and Ranshaw, the Brackenborough Hotel, and Re-Invention Hair Salon.

He added: “The Wheatsheaf pub were really good in enabling us to host the event.”

“Our club is a fantastic place, and we are welcoming new members to join us.”

Ms Nam, community fundraiser for the air ambulance service, said that the money raised by the club could help to save somebody’s life.

She said: “The money they’ve raised will actually pay for fuel for the Ambucopter for an hour.”
