The Wolds Bikers are holding a major recruitment drive.
Being a Wolds Biker is about more than Monday night rideouts through the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds.
Since the club started, it has raised over £14,000 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire and Air Ambulance and LIVES, the Lincolnshire Integrated Volunteer Emergency Service.
This year, the club is also continuing its support for the National Youthbike charity at the National Youthbike 2013 event and is running its own Charity Night at the Coach and Horses in Billinghay and you can become a Wolds Biker at any of these events.
National Youthbike is a charitable educational scheme for young people to help put the fun into learning about teamwork, safe workshop practice, forward planning, communication skills etc., in fact, all the skills they’ll need to enter the world of work – through building their own motorcycles under the guidance of professionals.
You’ll be able to see the results of all this at Youthbike 2013 at William Robertson School in Welbourn (LN5 0PA) just off the A15 at Leadenham. This year, the event also includes the Lincolnshire Custom Bike Show and the Rod Gibson Charity Memorial Rideout.
The Wolds Bikers Charity Night is the club’s main charity fundraising event of the year and will be held at the Coach and Horses Billinghay on Friday July 12, 6pm till late.
If you are interested in taking a stand and helping to raise money for charity please contact Richard Maxwell on 07766 555691
On the riding side, the club runs all-ability rideouts on the first and third Mondays each month starting at 7.30pm from the Coach and Horses Billinghay.
Anyone of any age can become a member. You do not even have to own a motorcycle. For further information on membership contact John Smith, Chairman on 01205 358469 or 07920 859118.
