Woman from the Louth area dies after road traffic collision


Dorset Police have confirmed that a two car collision on the A35 yesterday resulted in the death of a 59-year-old woman from the Louth area.

The collision, which occurred yesterday (Sunday March 15) at around 2.30pm, took place on the A35 between Axminster and Charmouth.

A silver Toyota Prius driven by a 63-year-old man from the Lincolnshire area collided with a blue Peugeot car driven by a 28-year-old woman from the Lyme Regis area. The 59-year-old woman from our area, who was a passenger in the Toyota Prius, sadly died at the scene.

The drivers of both vehicles suffered serious life changing Injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for several hours whilst investigators examined the scene.
