Woman remanded in custody charged with theft in Louth

A Grimsby woman has appeared in court after being charged with stealing clothes and accessories from a shop in Louth, and then assaulting a police officer in Skegness.

Claire Wilson, 41, of Redbarn Road in Grimsby, allegedly stole a watch, bag and clothes worth £43.98 from New Look in Louth Market Place on November 26, and later allegedly assaulted a police officer in the execution of her duty at Skegness Police Station.

Wilson pleaded not guilty to both offences when she appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on December 4, and elected a summary trial.

She was remanded in custody until her next court appearance, on December 11.
