THE Woolpack pub in Riverhead Road raised £1,000 for Help for Heroes with a roast and auction event on Easter Sunday.

The pub’s Angie Rayborne and Gary Arnold gave the profits from every Sunday roast meal sold to the charity, which helps injured soldiers.

They thanked Mark Gregory and Bev who got support from businesses, Phil from Jewson who sold raffle tickets, their staff, Angie’s foster daughter Katie and everyone who contributed.
