A brand new football World Cup book is due to hit Louth high street before anywhere else in the country.

The book is called “Three Lions and an Anorak: An England World Cup Quiz Odyssey” and was written by local writers Andrew and Anita Clark. It is on sale at Cojo’s in Mercer Row from tomorrow (April 23), five days before the rest of the UK.

With the World Cup set to dominate the agenda this summer, the light-hearted quizzing journey through the highs and lows of England’s World Cup history is expected to be a big hit.

Together, the two writers decided to give the new book its premiere in Louth. Andrew said: “We’re from Lincolnshire and Cojo’s is a fantastic shop. When they agreed to stock our book we thought it would be great to work with them to give local people an early opportunity to buy it. And St George’s Day just seemed to be the perfect pre-launch date”.

Louth Leader newspaper readers are exclusively offered the chance to buy the book at half-price between April 23-28. From tomorrow onwards, visit Cojo’s and show staff your copy of this week’s Leader (April 23 edition) to buy the book for just £3.49.
