Ambulances change gives us cause to worry

EDITOR - Since 2005 we have had occasion to call an ambulance five times.

I had a fall in town involving much bleeding and I was in the ambulance, treated in hospital and back home within an hour – brilliant!

My husband had an operation on his hip and fell on two different occasions in the home. Both times the ambulance arrived within five or ten minutes and he was looked after. We are extremely perturbed and upset to think this excellent service is being altered.

We cannot imagine that the alternative proposed will be better. We are both in our 80s and feel this is particularly important for our peace of mind.
