LETTER: Huttoft Car Terrace saga drags on

I read the letter from A Snape of Mablethorpe in the Mablethorpe Leader April 15 with a heavy heart.

Firstly the whole saga about Huttoft Care Terrace, Moggs Eye, Marsh Yard was started by ONE member of the public who lives in a Static Van in Sea Lane.

Coastal Lookout Huttoft was ordered to vacate the location and remove the “Van” by both Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) and East Lindsey District Council (ELDC) Because the Van detracted from the no overnight parking Policy to be implemented by both LCC and ELDSC. (the van was locked and empty at night.)

Further, to put the record straight a Full proposal to establish a lookout was submitted to both LCC and ELDC to use the Red Brick building, which has been abandoned for over 12 years. Coastal Lookout Hutofft applied for and was accepted in affiliation to “The Sea Safety Group”.(subject to permission to establish a lookout being obtained from the local authorities). To date neither LCC or ELDC have responded to this submission.

I thank A Snape for the kind comments.
