LETTER: Meridian Leisure Centre was never meant for Louth residents

With reference to Malcolm Bouchier’s letter, it is fairly obvious now that the Meridan Leisure Centre was built at considerably extra cost to suit the needs of the Lincolnshire County Swimming Association, not for the benefit of the residents of Louth.

We residents might just as well still have an old inexpensive four lane pool as half of the much vaunted eight lane pool is not open to the general public more times than not; and for no good reason it seems, other than pure lethargy. - or maybe to save the water from wearing out before the next swimming gala.
