Shoppers need a superstore

EDITOR – I get really frustrated at the lack of realism shown by our planners.

The convenience stores are too expensive and can only carry a limited range. We NEED a large Tesco/Sainsbury/Morrison or ASDA now.

The cost of living is going through the roof and it is only these retail giants who can help keep our costs down and provide competition to the cosy cartel of independent retailers in Louth.

We do not spend our money in town but go to Grimsby or Skegness where our money goes further and we compensate the cost of fuel by buying it a few pennies cheaper at the superstore filling stations.

Planners, wake up to the reality of the situation and let us have what we want and need.
