EDITOR – I write in support of J Jackson and the kids without a proper place to ride their bikes and skateboards.
I travel to France quite often and I have noticed that towns and even the smallest villages provide places for ‘les jeunes’, their youths, to gather, ride their bikes and skateboard.
Also, I often see youths playing boules with dads and grandads, but where do you see the equivalent in England?
I think it’s about time we made a better accommodation for young people and a better effort at trying to keep in touch with what they want and need.
This would be an effective way to begin to combat anti-social behaviour. Let’s urge the local council to allocate a place for the youths of Louth to gather, ride their bikes and skateboards.
