We need help with collection

EDITOR - Over many years the people in Louth have been very generous in their support of the Royal Air Forces Association’s (RAFA) Wings Appeal street collection, which took place in the second weekend in September.

Unfortunately, due to an aging and reducing membership, the Louth Branch of the Association has found it increasingly difficult to find sufficient volunteers to mount the street collection, despite some very valuable support by the Air Training Corps and King Edward VI School’s Combined Cadet Force.

The outcome is that, unless we can find volunteer collectors from the general public, there will not be a street collection this year.

If anyone would like to volunteer to help with the Wings Appeal in any way, please contact our Wings Appeal Co-ordinator, Ray Edmonds, on 605726.
