Cricket coaching will soon start in Mablethorpe

YOUNG people can try their hand at cricket in Mablethorpe thanks to new funding.

East Lindsey District Council has obtained a grant of £178 from Sportivate for the project.

18 to 25-year-olds can go down to Station Sports Centre and join in the fun.

Paul Marper, duty manager at Station Sports Centre, said: “This is an ideal opportunity for 14 to 25 year olds to participate in cricket and learn all concepts of the game, with the chance to enter into a club after the project has finished. The cricket coach will promote batting, bowling and fielding techniques as well as organising games.”

The first session is Sunday, November 6 from 2pm until 3.30pm.
