Lots of families turned out in support of Natwest Cricket Force day last Saturday.

Sunny weather ensured the pavilion received a thorough spring clean inside and out and, thanks to Jewson, the club were supplied with plenty of paint and brushes to complete the work.

The pavilion is 90 years old and was the former Reading Room, originally sited in the grounds of the old school. It has been used by the cricket club since 1987 when it was transported and rebuilt from the site of the old village hall.

Over the last year the club has replaced the windows and now, thanks to Jewson’s sponsorship, can refurbish the doors and the downrights. Legbourne junior coaching sessions begin again on Friday April 18 at the Community Centre Playing Fields at 6pm. The club welcomes boys and girls of all abilities aged 5 to 13 years.
