It was truly a five-star performance as Louth Old Boys U13s saw off Caythorpe and Fulbeck 5-2 at the weekend.
It was back to league action for Louth after recent cup exploits and earlier in the season, both teams shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
Due to the holidays, both teams were down to a bare 11 players, but it was LOBs that looked the more determined from the first whistle.
In fact they completely dominated the first half scoring four goals with no reply, a brace for Dan Revell, one for Joe White and a penalty expertly struck by Jamie Riddel.
Caythorpe came out with a bit more bite in the second half although it was LOBs that scored their fifth and final goal, another penalty for Jamie Riddel.
The visitors did score two goals before the end but LOBs were comfortable winners in the end with a 5-2 victory.
LOBs are steadily climbing the league table with a mix of rock solid defending and positive attacking play which needs to carry on for the remaining eight games of the season.
