Sutton Rovers are looking forward to a bright future thanks to a sponsorship boost.
The club, which plays in the East Lincs Combination Division Two, found themselves struggling with the high running costs which dog most football clubs and have seen their number of teams halved from four to two.
But things are now looking up for those remaining sides following a cash injection courtesy of local business MG Plumbing.
The firm’s backing has allowed Rovers to buy new kits, after wearing their previous shirts for the past three seasons, as well as new balls, training equipment and matchday travelling kit.
“It’s been a massive help,” said committee member and player Adam Bebbington.
“We fell on hard times a bit and lost two of our teams and found it hard to attract players.
“The club’s been going since the 1930s, and this will help us to keep going.”
