Fixtures pile up as Louth Town see another game beaten by the weather

Louth Town saw another of their festive fixtures fall victim to the weather as their match at Bottesford Town on Saturday was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Town only had three games in the whole of December and now find themselves in 7th place in the NCEL Division One with games in hand on many of their promotion rivals.

The Bottesford game has been re-arranged for Wednesday, February 13, and Town’s next fixture will now be Saturday’s home game against 4th placed Albion Sports.

However, the Bottesford postponement could be a blessing, with manager Daryl Clare desperate for his senior players to have match practise but there were a number of them not available for the trip, so a stronger squad may be available when the new fixture is played

The club are hoping for a big crowd for the Albion Sports match, which kicks off at the changed time of 2pm.
