Louth Ladies beat East Coast Raiders

Louth Ladies 23 East Coast Raiders 0

LOUTH Ladies (Old Boys) started off their 2011/12 season with a bang beating East Coast Raiders 23-0 on Sunday at their home ground, London Road.

The Louth girls were ready from the off and after just minutes of possession had put away their first goal with Toni McHamilton opening the scoring.

The next three followed shortly after from the on-form striker, bringing the tally to 4-0 just 15 minutes in. Further goals were put away neatly by Captain Louise Smith, pacey left winger Jo Perkins and dominant midfielder Nik Charlton.

Leaving the score 12-0 at half time, the girls were ready to go again after the break. A spell of good play in the middle allowed the fast feet of Nat Aird and hard work of new girl Lisa Cromey to put a straight ball through for Toni McHamilton to finish a simple tap in leaving the East Coast keeper once again flummoxed!

Solid defending by the back four led by Hollie Roberts meant that the Louth Keeper, Rachael Turner, was left without a touch!

Good play by substitutes Nik Wright and Amy Liddy meant the score kept climbing and as the full time whistle blew, it was left at 23-0. Scorers included Toni McHamilton, Louise Smith, Nik Charlton, Jo Perkins, Nat Aird, Nik Wright and man of the match was awarded to Toni McHamilton.
