The Louth Leader Six-a-Side Premier League saw Mark Donner make it five wins from five as they edged Louth All Stars in a fiery encounter.

Steve Goy was sent off in the second half and Donner took advantage for a 3-2 win. LA Crusaders did well to hold Marshall BMW to a 1-1 draw, while Petr Cech Yourself, despite last week’s excellent point against Old Boys, lost heavily to Louth Legends who ran out 6-0 winners.

Game of Throw Ins earned themselves a 5-0 win in the points game, but played out a dour 0-0 draw against Championship Sub Standard.

Team P&B shocked last year’s champions, Old Boys, by taking the lead, but were outdone by Ben Godbold in an eventual 5-1 defeat.

* The Louth Leader Championship saw a remarkable game of two halves between Real SoSoBad and Susie’s Stars.

Real were in control of the leaders and led 3-0 at half-time, but Stars launched an astonishing comeback to win 4-3. Louth OG’z built a comfortable 4-1 half-time lead against Dragon Men and ran out 5-2 winners, while #DS9 benefited from Tekkerslovakia’s inability to raise a side as they served up a 7-3 friendly win over the Dragons.

Ben Maidment grabbed the only goal from the penalty spot as Job Centre XI beat Stroke T 1-0 to stay level on points at the top. The final game was a goalfest as Sub Standard beat Golden Oldies 6-4, but had their keeper to thank for a masterclass.
