Louth Town go into tonight’s League Cup third round clash with Pontefract Collieries potentially just three games away from reaching the final.

Town host the Yorkshire side at Park Avenue (7.45pm) in a welcome break from league matters.

On Saturday manager Daryl Clare bemoaned two ‘golden opportunities’ which were missed as his side were forced to settle for a point at Hallam.

Town currently find themselves in 10th place in the NCEL Division One table, four places and five points behind tonight’s opposition.

In the league Town saw off Pontefract 4-2 at Park Avenue in September before being beaten 3-1 in the away game in January.

Entry for tonight’s game is just £4 for adults and £2 for U16s.
