LOUTH TOWN will have to wait to try and secure their place in the final of the Wilkinson Sword Trophy after their semi-final was postponed on Tuesday night.

The White Wolves were due to play Shirebrook Town of Derbyshire at Park Avenue but the game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch after heavy rain had hit Louth through the day.

No date has yet been announced for the re-arranged game.

The winners will play either Grimsby Borough or Bradford-based Albion Sports, with the two sides playing next Tuesday, in the final.

Paul Walden’s side will visit sixth placed Hemsworth Miners Welfare in the league on Saturday (3pm), the full report will be in next week’s Leader.
