Louth Tennis and Sport Centre in Louth are driving forward this year in an attempt to reach division 1 in the Lincolnshire Mens National League after they were promoted to divison 2 at the back end of 2014 in the Winter County Cup.

Head Coach Edward Allinson is working hard to bring the team forward in what has seen tennis being played to the highest level locally that has been seen for many years.

Edward commented “It is great for Lincolnshire to have reached the current position we are in. With a young team with such great spirit, we can have a good go at reaching division 1 this year.”

Club member Joe Woolley who is coached by Edward recently reached the final of the Under 18 Winter Masters Series played at the LTA Headquarters at Roehampton.

This grade 1 event attracts all the top ranked U18 players in the UK. After battling through to the final, Joe eventually lost 6.3 7.6. – a great effort.

The Clubs U18 Boys Aegon team has been accepted into the premier division of the National League.

Playing against other teams from all over the UK, Louth will be attempting to become the top U18 boys club in the UK, watch this space for further details as the season progresses.

Although the tennis and sports centre is very proud of these achievements, it aims to provide an all round tennis experience for every member.

24 teams have been entered into different age group leagues this summer, giving every standard of player an opportunity to play competitively if they wish.
