TWO more more solid wins for Bujiars at Louth Indoor Bowls Club last week saw them increase their lead to four points at the top of the table as rivals Oaks could only manage a draw in one of their games.
Bujiars scored an ‘8’ in their first game on the way to a 19-5 win over Numbskulls and then shot down Magnificent 7 by 32-6.
Oaks beat Mix and Match 16-6 helped by an early ‘6’ but then slipped up against Two Plus One despite holding an 11-1 advantage at one stage. Two Plus One clawed their way back and scored two shots on each of the last two ends for a 14-14 draw.
Any further lapses could see second spot go to Mudlarks who moved within three points after they won both their games.
A simple 17-10 victory over Rolling Scones was followed by a comfortable 18-6 win against Mix and Match.
Mudlarks’ next two games are against the top two teams.
Magnificent 7 have dropped to the bottom of the table on shots difference after losng 16-12 to Two Plus One who scored a ‘6’ on the final end to steal victory.
Numbskulls moved off the bottom thanks to their 14-8 success against Rolling Scones.
