A successful East Coast Classic 10k race and a 3k fun run was enjoyed by more than 176 competitors on Sunday in Mablethorpe.
Organised by Mablethorpe Running Club, the starting line was at the Lifeboat Station at Mablethorpe heading towards Trusthorpe - Sutton On Sea and Sandilands Promenade before the 5k turn around point heading back again to finish.
The race was won by Ben Evison (Skegness Coasters) making light work of the course in just 34m 46s and the first female was Sophie Cowper (Lincoln Wellington AC) completing the 10k in 37m 16s (seventh position overall).
Roger Blake of Mablethorpe RC said: “We are very grateful to all the runners and supporters for making this event possible, our sponsors and suppliers for their kind support also. We’re looking forward to next year.”
