The Kenwick men played two medal competitions, one from the back white tees and the other from the yellow tees.
Pete Wilyman with his score of 77-7=70 won the white tee medal. Chris Winney (8) came second with a net 71 on a countback from John Hood (6). Third placed Lewis Hackett scored a 75-3=72 and also shot the best gross of the competition.
With two players tied on a countback for the top spot in the yellow tees medal, Dan Thompson won with his score of 85-16=69 from James Lee with 73-4=69.
James Lee did have the best gross as consolation for coming second. Bruce Wong (16), took third place with a net 70 on a countback from Daniel Mountain (18).
The May Bank Holiday brought out the mixed pairs for a better ball stableford competition. A new combination of Neil Pridgeon and Helen Sherratt won with 41 points. Pete and Kay Smart were runners-up with 39. Graham and Sue Sykes came third with 38 on a countback from both Nick and Jo Cudmore and Steve and Mabel Blackburn. Helen is becoming a mixed specialist as she also won the early May bank holiday with another partner.
A foursomes stableford competition was the order of the day for the Kenwick ladies. Ladies Captain Birdie Dawson (9) and Jill Harrington (24) won with 31 points and will now go forward to the regional qualifier for the Coronation Foursomes. Sue Sykes (10) and Julia Labbett (15) came second with 30 on a countback from the two pairings of Lesley Burton (12) and Julie Harvey (12) and Sue Fisher (14) and Patsy Clark (20).
The Kenwick seniors were drawn with partners to play a foursomes stableford competition for the Ron King trophies. Ron Irwin (10) and Gus Robertson (22) won the trophies with 34 points on a countback from Roger Markham (17) and Ian Waterhouse (24). Karl Koslow (7) and David Gelsthorpe (18) were third with 33.
