On a bright autumn morning, Kenwick Park Golf Club’s new captains were introduced by vice-president Eric Sharp and drove into office in style.
Both Captains should be immensely proud of their drives which had a combined total length of 368 yards.
Nigel Fearn earned himself a bottle of bubbly for guessing the length of the drives, and the competition raised £63 for the new captains’ charities which are Lives, Blood Bikes and the Louth branch of Parkinsons UK.
An 11-hole competition followed the drive-in which the team of Graham Ward, John Robinson, Nigel Fearn and Graham Cowley won with 55 points.
John King, Steve Ashby, Ashton Turner and Sam Bulcock came second with 54 points, two ahead of third-placed Trevor and Pam Hayward, Alan Smaggasgale and Bridget Hardaway.
