* A seniors’ side lead by their captain Ron Irwin played the annual match against the B team captained by Steve Ashby.
The B team proved too strong and won 5.5-0.5 with the pairing of Steve Blackburn and Clive James just preventing a whitewash by halving their match.
* Earlier in the season, mixed pairs played for the Havelock Trophy, with the top eight pairings progressing into greensome matchplay rounds to decide the winner of the Davlin Trophy.
Steve Blackburn extended his excellent winning streak as captain by defeating Bob and Jane Briggs in the final with his wife Mabel to win the trophy.
* The ladies played a stableford competition between all of the stableford winners from this season.
Cheryl Gilliatt (23), took home the Stableford Winners Shield with a score of 36 points, edging lady captain Pam Westthorp (20) into second place by a point.
It was a triumph of perseverance as well as skill for Gilliatt who had finished runner-up several times this season.
Ladies’ vice-captain Penny Buckley (24) produced a great score of 38 points to win the alternative stableford from second-placed Jean Sizer (21) with 32.
