Lincolnshire motorcycle racer Peter Hickman has been recognised at the BMW Motorrad rider awards ceremony in Munich.
Hickman, who won the Macau Grand Prix last month, won the award for finishing 15th in the worldwide BMW Motorrad racing standings for two wins and three podiums in his road races in 2015.
It was a fitting send-off for Hickman who has switched to the JG Speedfit Kawasaki racing team for the 2016 British Superbikes season.
He explained: “It was an all-expenses-paid trip to Munich for the ceremony where racers from all over the world using BMW machinery are awarded points for their performance throughout the year in their respective championships.
“My award was for my results at the Ulster GP and Macau where my points took me up to 15th place.
“This was a really nice way to end my time with BMW and I have to thank Lee Hardy Racing, the RAF Reserves team and all my sponsors for their support this year.
“I couldn’t have done it without you guys.”
