Liam Jaines and Graham Evison walked away with the silverware as Louth Golf Club hosted the club championships on Sunday.
The event was held over two rounds with Jaines landing the Trevor Moody Cup for best gross score after improving on an opening 79 with a second round of 76 for a combined total of 155.
J. Turner was runner-up with 157 (79+78), one shot better off than C. Trestrail (78+80=158), while Evison was another four shots back in fourth with 162 (85+77).
But 10-handicapper Evison did lifted the Gibson Trophy for best nett score with 142. He won on countback from 19-handicapper K. Aston who shot 67 and 75. Third place went to A. Partridge (15) with 143 (70+73), and L. Jaines (5) took fourth with 145 (74+71).
It capped a good weekend for Evison who 24 hours earlier finished second in the Member’s Cup.
The men’s winner was Graham Pennell with 45 stableford points, while Kate Hicks secured the ladies’ prize with 31.

On Saturday evening there was a barbecue as the captains and vice-captains officially opened the new halfway house, one of several projects club members are doing to mark its 50th anniversary.
