Louth grammar students walk tall after hill cross country

STUDENTS from King Edward VI Grammar School performed exceptionally well at the Coastal and Wolds District Cross County Championships held at Hubbard’s Hills.

Around 700 children from 14 schools took part. KEVIS won three out of the six team events – Year 7 boys, Year 7 girls and Y8/9 boys.

They also came runner-up in the other three age groups - Year 8/9 girls, Year 10/11 boys and Year 10/11 girls.

Individual winners came in the Year 8/9 girls race, with Elizabeth Hardcastle dominating the race, and likewise in the Year 10/11 boys where Harry Maw came home first.

A total of 31 KEVIS students qualified to represent the Coastal and Wolds District.
