Louth Indoor Bowls Club ladies beat Lincoln

A MASSIVE 42-6 win on one rink played a major part in Louth Ladies’ 106-91 aggregate shots victory over Lincoln in last week’s county match.

The four of Jean Holdsworth, Yvonne Roper, Sheila Brumpton and Berni Barnett raced into a 13-1 lead and later added two ‘5’s and a ‘6’.

Joan Stones’ rink also won 27-14 whilst Lincoln won the other three rinks.

At club level Taylor Made were beaten 17-10 by Legends and were still looking for the one win to give them the second division title in the Afternoon Triples.

In the Thursday Evening Fours, Chalkers were without a game and lost top spot as a result as Rockset beat Alford 21-6 to take a one point advantage.

Having already won the second divison title Blossom Way emphasised their position with a 16-9 victory over Meerkats whilst Stags, guaranteed the runners-up spot, drew 14-all with APS.
