Mablethorpe Running Club chairman Wayne Kew was in Belgium earlier this month for an exclusive event at the national King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.
Wayne joined forces with work colleagues Ian Wilcox-Crowe and Keith Vickers, from Louth packaging company DS Smith to form part of a six-man team to compete in the Belgian capital.
Each runner had to run a 5km or 10km leg for the team to complete the full marathon distance of 42.195km (or 26.218 miles).
DS Smith had 10 teams entered from various sites around Europe.
Of the 1,576 teams to finish, Wayne’s team were delighted to finish an excellent 376th in 3hr 29min 05secs.
