Not for the faint hearted, Mablethorpe ultra-runner Chris Rainbow and his friend Dave Swift set off on the new Cross Britain Way - a 280-mile trip.
It was not a race nor a large group of people, just Chris and Dave with support from their families for the love of running.
The route starts from Boston, and heads westwards across the middle of England before finishing at Barmouth on the Welsh coast.
Chris and Dave decided to run it in the opposite direction - Barmouth to Boston as this would mean they were heading for home.
Leaving Barmouth on Saturday April 4 in the morning, they arrived in Boston at around 6pm on Friday April 10. They covered an incredible 40 - 47 miles per day.
On Sunday, six Mablethorpe Running Club members were of the 121 entrants that took part in the 17th Friskney Half Marathon.
Roger Blake came 29th with a course best of 1h 35m 30s. Guy Willey dug deep finishing 58th with a half marathon PB of 1h 49m 18s.
Debbie Jinks made her return to this course knocking two minutes off last year’s time in 81st place in 1h 59m 10s. Lisa Musson wouldn’t let the wind stop her and finished 100th in 2h 12m 48s.
Andrea Mettham made her debut to half marathon running in 108th position in a fantastic time of 2h 20m 33s. Selina Elson struggled but battled on through the wind in 117th place in 2h 36m 46s.
The race was won by Steven Robinson (RAF AAA) in 1h 15m 33s.
The club meets at Mablethorpe Athletics Club on Sherwood Fields in Mablethorpe at 6.30pm every Monday and Thursday. Everyone, no matter what your age or ability are welcome to go and run with the club.
