Nine hole competition at Louth Golf Club

THE twice annual nine hole Golfer Non-Golfer competition was held at Louth Golf Club.

The golfer plays from tee to green and the non-golfer does all the putting except on the 9th were the non-golfer drives.

It was all good fun, sort of; everyone appeared to still be talking to each other afterwards.

The non-golfer with the fewest putts was Vanessa Turner with 16; the youngest non-golfer with the most single putts was James Gilliatt with 3.

The overall winner was Carl and Lisa Pickering with a magnificent gross 38, net 35.5; 2nd Rob Carrick and Mandy, net 37 on a count back from; 3rd Graham Ives & Jenny also on 37.

It was rounded off with a BBQ.

There was also a fun mixed Florida Scramble won by the team of Sandra and Bob Conway with Jean Hoskins and Ken Haddon with 58.5; 2nd Peggy Hales, Simon Archer, Moira and Michael Barker, 60.05; 3rd Gill Brook, George Webster, Fliss Smith and Steve Owen, 61.65 on a count back from; 4th Di Rowbotham, Ian Tyas, Sylvia Mortimer and Stuart Hempshall, 61.65
