The annual junior fundraiser at Louth Golf Club raised over £600 thanks to the efforts of the juniors and parents, along with very generous support from club members.
The cash raised will go towards the development of the juniors, especially coaching, prize funds and team matches.
The club’s junior section is flourishing and has a great set of golfers aged from around 10 to 14, all with handicaps.
Assistant Pro and Junior Organiser Chris Andrews said: “We have recently enrolled a batch of youngsters between ages five to eight who are showing lots of potential.
“I think that having the new practise range facility has helped massively with the improvement of the juniors along with their hard work and attitude to the game.”
Chris will be providing group lessons for non-member boys and girls between the ages of six and ten.
There will be two groups of eight, so numbers are limited.
The lessons will start in September and will take place on Tuesday evenings for a total of eight weeks, covering basic skills. For more information speak to Chris or Nick on 01507 604648.
