Hallington-based, Ros Canter will be among more than 600 riders to compete at Belton International Horse Trials on April 17-19 including the world numbers one and two, William Fox-Pitt and Jonelle Price.
Ros is a successful International event rider, and made her British Nations Cup team debut at Ballendenisk in 2014, finishing in fifth place individually and taking the top prize as part of the team.
Ros is partnering four horses at this year’s Belton, and will be competing against the World’s best riders for the most prestigious of the prizes on offer, the CIC3* Grantham Cup with one of her top horses All Star B.
The entries for this year’s Belton read like a Who’s Who of World Class eventing with many Olympic and World medal winners in the line-up. Mary King, who has ridden at six Olympic Games, will be piloting the very popular Kings Temptress around one of their first CIC3*s of the season and World number 4 Oliver Townend who has won both Badminton and Burghley, has a total of seven rides across the weekend with entries in both the CIC2* and CIC3*.
With the World’s top eventers battling it out over Captain Mark Philips’ testing Cross Country Courses, 2015’s Belton International Horse Trials promises to be the best yet. Whatever you want from a day out in the country, Belton 2015 has it to offer; World Class equestrian competition, stunning scenery, acres of beautiful un-spoilt Parkland to explore with over 100 Trade stands and an array of entertainment that will excite the whole family.
Whether you are looking to sample the nail biting fast and furious Pony Club Mounted Games, the trail-blazing inter-hunt relay or enter your four-legged friends in the Jerry Green Family Dog Show, Belton has it all.
