A 22-14 win for Humberstone against Jackos secured the Monday Evening 2-bowl Triples title despite rivals Chalkers thrashing Strollers 30-7, which means they finish four points behind the leaders. Third-placed Alford were beaten 17-15 by Mystics.
Castaways put one hand on the Monday Lunchtime trophy when coming good over the last few ends to beat Froggies 13-9 and open a four-point gap over Kestrels, who suffered one of their worst defeats for a while when losing 24-7 to a Stones trio of Janet Norman, Joan Stones and Sylvia Stainton.
Third-placed Anglers are still in the hunt for the runners-up place despite a heavy 20-8 defeat against Ifs & Buts whilst a 17-10 win over the Goodies kept Evergreens in with a chance of second spot.
Barrie Robinson and Pat Willoughby just held off the challenge from Alan Watson and Alice Ashwood to win 15-14 and clinch the Tuesday Mixed Pairs title ahead of Colin & Carol Smith who pinched the runners-up spot from Tony Willoughby and Pam Clapp who they beat 14-9.
