A TEAM of young swimmers from King Edward VI Grammar School in Louth recently attended a national swimming finals day.
The four students, Charles Spencer, Sam Swaby and William McIntyre of year nine and Daniel Challis of year eight took part in the national finals of the English Schools Swimming Team Championships in Southampton.
The boys finished the day in fifth place in the freestyle event and seventh in the medley event against some very strong competition from schools and colleges around the country.
The talented swimmers were accompanied by coach Steve Armstrong.
A long but enjoyable day was had by all, with the team leaving at 5.30am and returing home at 9.30pm.
