Louth Dolphins Swimming Club’s youngsters starred recently as the club held its Sportsmans Week Sprint Gala and presentation day.
The swimmers set 241 personal bests and achieved 119 new, or bettered, County Qualifying times for 2015.
Head Coach Steve Armstrong said: “Swimmers this year have driven themselves onward and upwards. You will see Louth hats at every major competition – here’s to keeping our star rising, and all you other swimming clubs – watch out we’re coming to get you.”
The swimming events ran like clockwork thanks to organisers Sarah Richardson and Matthew Clark and a superb team of official and poolside helpers.
The event was finished off by an awards ceremony held in Monks Dyke School, the gongs presented by Louth’s Mayor Andrew Leonard and the squad coaches.
