Mablethorpe Running Club’s competitors have had a busy June.
At the Woodhall Spa Triathlon - which consists of a 400m pool swim, followed by 24k on the bike and a 5k run - Wayne Kew was among the 656 who crossed the finish line.
He completed the swim in 8m 59s, the bike ride in 44m 37s and the run in 19m 55s for a total finish time (including changeovers) of 1h 15m 14s.
He was in 108th position.
The Grantham Summer Solstice 10k takes part in the evening of the longest day of the year on a fairly flat course with just 33m of ascent and 33m of descent.
There were a massive 669 competitors at this popular event, three from Mablethorpe RC.
Kev Harrison was 91st in 41 mins 47 secs, Debbie Jinks was 334th in 50 mins 39 secs and Andrea Mettam was 547th in 1 hr 01 min 55 secs.
The Macmillan Seabank Marathon is actually a 27.9-mile course between Boston and Skegness.
It offers a gruelling and brutal course over country lanes, farmland, knee-high grass and alongside the Wash.
The six Mablethorpe club competitors were Paula Downing (second, 3 hrs 49 mins), Tammy Rainbow (fifth, 3 hrs 59 mins), Andrew Tomlin (10th, 4 hrs 30 mins), Roger Blake (11th, 4 hrs 32 mins), Paul Stupple (23rd, 4 hrs 53 mins), Elliot Stones (42nd, 5 hrs 37 mins).
Two Mablethopre teams competed in the relay.
Team one saw Nigel Booth, Chris Rainbow, Archie Rainbow, Carl Musson, Julie Martin, Janine Stones, Shez Hawse and Rob Hawse finish second in 3 hrs 12 mins and team two saw Nigel Cross, Helen Rice-Mundy, Louise Willey, Lisa Musson, Andrea Mettam, Ellie Norman, Diane Holmes and Joseph Rice-Mundy finishseventh (4 hrs 08 mins).
Elaine Wilson and Sharon Wheatley Margarson were representing Mablethorpe at the first of the Clickem Inn 10-mile road races at Swinhope, near Grimsby.
They ran together, completing this challenge in 1 hr 36 mins 17 secs for 57th and 58th-place finishes.
The Cancer Research UK Louth Run For Life event saw Mablethorpe runners take part dressed in pink tutus.
