Ross McGregor is taking Louth Triathlon Club to the ITU World Championships in Canada.

Ross will be heading to Canada on August 29 to compete in the Triathlon World Championships representing Great Britain in the 25-29-year-old age group.

Ross qualified for the champs at the recent Nottingham Triathlon where he put on an outstanding performance, completing the triathlon in the hour mark.

Ross only took to Triathlons last year and has worked extremely hard to make his mark at this level of competition. Ross will compete against people from around the globe and more than 4,000 athletes will take part in the event.

Ross said: “I am so pleased with this result, I started out with the ambition to compete locally to a successful standard, this is more than I could of hoped for. I couldn’t of done this without the support of my family, friends and the club.”

Ross is also currently leading his age group in the Midlands Sprint Triathlon Series with the final leg at Woodhall Spa at the end of the month.

Ross is looking for sponsorship; if you are interested in sponsoring Ross please contact him via email at
