One hundred and fifty two played in pairs for the Wilf and Hilda Brader foursomes at Louth Golf Club.

This is the traditional annual festive competition going off the 1st and 10th tees with mince pies and hot drinks at the half-way house administered by the Ladies’ Captain, Lesley Elliott, and her helpers, Bridget Buick, Jane Webster and Lynda West.

The results are announced immediately after the last ones are in with everyone getting a prize from turkeys and joints of meat, bottles of booze, down to chickens and boxes of biscuits, all laid out with the winners getting the first pick downwards. It is all done in the festive spirit.

The winners were Terry Ross and John Rysdale with 42 stableford points; 2nd, Wayne Melton and Pete Dobson 41pts; 3rd, Steve Thacker and Guy Shufflebotham 40pts.
