Lincolnshire Jujitsu Club has welcomed Helen Braid to its team of instructors.

Helen, pictured with the club’s founder and chief instructor Andy Steer, gained her black belt in the Japanese Martial Art of jujitsu seven years ago and has been an instructor since 2009.

Andy said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Helen to the team.

“I hope that she will prove to be an inspiration to other women and girls in the area to take up jujitsu and learn to defend themselves.”

Helen said: “Jujitsu has played a huge part in my life since the very first lesson, it’s absolutely essential for us all to take responsibility for our own safety and well-being and there’s no better way than this.”

Lincolnshire Jujitsu Club meets every Wednesday evening at Meridian Leisure Centre, Louth.

New members are always welcome, so if you are interested, visit or call Andy on 07989 179995 to arrange a free lesson.
