A quartet from Mablethorpe Running Club made the shirt trip to Skegness to compete in a Go Tri duathlon.
The event, hosted by Skegness Triathlon Club, returned after last year’s debut and consisted of a 1.2-mile run and five miles on the bike followed by another 1.2-mile run.
Keeping it in the family were husband and wife Carl and Lisa Musson, as well as father and daughter Guy and Phoebe Willey.
Carl improved on last year’s time and position by finishing fourth in 32min 52secs, while Guy finished 10th in 35.38 on his Go-Tri debut.
Fourteen-year-old Phoebe did particularly well on her debut to cross the line 14th in 38.09, but Lisa twisted her ankle on the run and was unable to finish.
The event was won by Michael Irving (Skegness Tri Club) in 29.46.
* Cleethorpes Athletic Club hosted the annual Colin Moody Memorial five-mile road race which attracted 64 runners, varying in age from 15 years to 72.
