SALTFLEET’S annual gala, held at the weekend, has been hailed as a ‘brilliant success’ by organisers.
The event was held at Saltfleet Playing Field on Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7, and saw live music, a disco, fun and games and a parade during a packed weekend.
Organiser Carol Butler said: “It was fantastic, despite the rain on the Saturday night people stayed until the end. There was a brilliant turnout for both days.
“We had great support from people in the village and had people coming from further afield as well.
“People were already asking about next year’s gala, which will hopefully be even bigger and better than this year.”
Another feature of the weekend was the open day for Saltfleet’s newly opened Treasure Chest day nursery.
First prize for the gala weekend was a short break holiday, which was won by EP Bailey.
The final profits were totalled up at £1,500, to go towards the Saltfleet Sports and Social field.
