A Fotherby woman who is keen to keep the local music scene alive is channelling her soundwaves and moving onto the airwaves in Mablethorpe.
Molly Amour, 34, will be bringing her love of music, specifically Jazz and Folk sounds forward into a new radio show on Coastal FM based in Mablethorpe.
This is Molly’s first time on the airwaves and she said: “I am enthusiastic about keeping the local music scene alive and will be starting the local jazz program on the air on Thursday afternoons from February.
“This will be just in time for Valentine’s Day which is great as I love to sing love songs.
“I am enjoying putting together a playlist of romantic songs to celebrate.
“I have always been interested in singing and like many styles of music, but adore jazz.
“Although I have always enjoyed singing, I had stage fright until my 30s, I eventually realised that life is short and I should get up and do what I enjoy. You only live once.”
Molly is also keen to promote local events which includes music and to help provide a resource for others who want to get involved with the local music scene.
“There are a number of jazz events going on locally such as music in the afternoons at Louth Library and events like the Bathing Beauties Festival in Mablethorpe, which I look to promote on my show,” Molly added.
“It will be fantastic being able to help to provide a resource for other people who would like to support the local music scene.”
