Sue Locking, the chairman of Louth in Bloom, invites volunteers to come along to Louth Market Place on Sunday May 25 to help paint benches, tree guards and bollards to improve the look of the town. Come along to the Market Place between 8.30-9am to get involved. Paintbrushes, latex gloves and paint will all be provided, although volunteers are invited to bring along an empty jam jar that can be filled with the paint on the day. In Bloom judging will take place towards the end of July.
With regards to last Sunday’s voluntary painting session in the Market Place, Sue Locking said: ““As Chairman of the In Bloom committee, I would like to thank everybody that spent time (up to four hours!) on Sunday morning painting street furniture, especially members of the public who came forward as a result of my request on Friday night (May 16) at the Annual Town Council Meeting.
“I don’t know everybody’s contact details, so I would like to give a public ‘thank you’ to all involved.”
