Youngsters from the local area are being encouraged to go along to the Grimsby Auditorium and audition to be in the junior chorus for this year’s Christmas pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.
Children between the ages of nine and sixteen are being invited to tread the boards and show off their fancy footwork and audition at the Auditorium on Wednesday September 17. Applicants should arrive at 4pm, and auditions begin at 4.30pm.
Steve Boden, managing director of Imagine Theatre, said: “The open audition for the children is a great way of getting the local community involved in the production and auditioning youngsters for the panto is always a lot of fun, but also a real challenge as we see so much talent. We are proud of the fact we are able to offer all local children the opportunity to perform in a professional production as they can learn such a lot from the experience.
“We are looking for children with the ‘x-factor’ – that something special that makes them stand out from the crowd. They need to be bubbly, confident and great dancers who are prepared to work hard as well as having lots of fun.”
Preparations for this year’s show are already in full swing, so make sure you book your tickets to avoid missing out on the best show in town come Christmas time!
Jack and the Beanstalk runs from Friday December 12 to Sunday December 28. For more information or to book tickets call 0844 8713016 or visit www.atgtickets.com/grimsbyauditorium.
