Family Fun Day: What’s on this Spring at Doncaster Races – sporting action with horseracing and entertainment
With the excitement of seven flat races planned for the day and circus-themed entertainment around the grounds Doncaster Racecourse’s Family Fun Sunday on March 24 is set to be a winner for all the family.
Where else can you take the kids for a great day out that is absolutely free for under 17s? The Lincoln Family Fun Raceday – named because it comes the day after the Lincoln Handicap, the first race of the British Flat Race season – is putting on the greatest show in Doncaster with circus-style entertainment from jugglers to stilt walkers.
Kids and adults alike will be greeted by Ringmaster Ryan who will welcome you to the racecourse for a day of exciting sporting action, child-friendly entertainment and a bustling lively atmosphere.
There will be a circus workshop to hone your big top skills, a kids disco, Punch and Judy shows, magicians, stilt-walkers and jugglers and more to keep the younger members of the family entertained.

Ticket options
There are lots of different ticket types and packages to choose from such as the Day at the Races Package, only available to pre-purchase. This offers grandstand admission and a raceday programme, a welcome drink of a pint of Carlsberg or a soft drink, a traditional pie and access to all of the action on and off the track, and all for just £25.
A family bundle costs the same and covers two adults and up to six youngsters under 18.
The Grandstand Saver costs £17 and includes Access to public bars, eateries, and betting outlets along with views of the racing action including the parade ring and pre-parade ring.
Go upmarket in the premier enclosure to experience the great atmosphere of raceday from the gorgeous glass-fronted Premier Suite. You’ll want to dress to impress – a strict dress code applies – and places are limited for these £45 tickets to ensure every premier enclosure guests enjoys the best hospitality here on the third floor of the main stand.
You could have your own private table and tuck into a sumptuous two-course Sunday Lunch with the Home Straight Restaurant package at £79 or upgrade to a guaranteed window table for £99 a ticket. Private hospitality family packages are available from £79 each for a minimum of 12 people – so you could make it a real day out for a group of family and friends. And there are a range of box packages available in the famous Leger stand, where you’ll get the best balcony views to cheer the horses on in the home straight.
Children 17 and under go free to the races when accompanied by an adult (some exclusions apply for Festival fixtures and Live After Racing events). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day. Other concession tickets are available on the day.

The Lincoln Handicap meeting on Saturday, March 23, promises world-class racing and a fantastic raceday atmosphere.
